Some CJD things.

I thought maybe I should clarify a couple of things.

The Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD) agent is believed to be the same as same as the agent of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) or mad cow disease.

The UK had the largest epidemic of BSE and the most number of CJD cases (100+), but they aren't actually sure if they are the same thing.

It isn't known if CJD can be spread through donated blood, but they decided not to take chances.

You can donate blood with rheumatoid arthritis if you are only taking NSAIDs.

My teenagers think the whole idea of donating blood is just crazy.

donating blood is pretty crazy, but you can recover from it in just 8 weeks, unlike some other bodily donations. also, donating blood will help 3 people who couldn't get it otherwise. my dad needed blood after his surgery.
